AKFA Group wins the EMBRAS'21 award in the «Good Deeds» nomination

The «Mehr» shelter for stray dogs was built by AKFA Group and its management was transferred to animal rights activists. "Mehr" was recognized as the best project in the «Good Deeds» nomination at the annual international Central Asia Employer Brand Award (EMBRAS).

The EMBRAS award is presented as part of the Central Asia Employer Brand Summit held every year in Tashkent, where HR specialists from various companies share ideas and exchange knowledge in the field of personnel development.  AKFA Group holding has already participated in this event 3 times.  In previous years, the company received awards in the «Business Result» nominations - 1st place for the AKFA Plast plant project, «Talent Development» - 2nd place for the opening of a training center for employees, and was twice noted in «Innovations» - 3rd place for the creation R&D center in 2019 and 1st place in 2020 for the IT center project.  And this year the holding's piggy bank of awards was compounded by another gold EMBRAS.

In 2021, AKFA Group had a chance to receive an EMBRAS award in three nominations: «Innovations» (SAP implementation at BENKAM Alu Extrusions plant), Good Deeds («Mehr» shelter for homeless dogs), «Talent development» (grant program «Scholarship» and educational project «AKFA-classes» in several universities in Tashkent).  But it was the «Mehr» project which was eventually declared the winner:

 - Today the world is ruled by technology.  Everyone talks about digitalization, digital, kaizen, and sometimes we forget about humanity itself.  We decided to fill this gap and created a charitable project «Mehr»,- * accepting the award, noted the HR Director of AKFA Group Guzel Ganieva, - *The shelter for stray animals, which we have given to volunteers for management, serves a noble goal - to save the lives of our four-legged friends, to give them home and family.  Every employee of our company was happy to take part in this project and a tremendous experience was gained.  I hope that such charitable activities will increase in our country, - she summed up.

AKFA Group became the first private company in Uzbekistan to implement such a large-scale charity project in the field of animal welfare.  Shelter «Mehr» has adopted the best international experience of working with homeless four-legged animals.  Veterinary and canine services operate in the shelter, and all newly arrived animals go through the quarantine zone.  Each pet is treated, vaccinated, socialized and helped to find a loving owner.

Taking into account all the advantages of the shelter project, the award in the category «Good Deeds» went to the AKFA Group, becoming another recognition of the contribution the holding makes to the development of HR in Uzbekistan.

The AKFA Group seeks and develops talents to build together the future of technology and engineering science in Uzbekistan.
