The "Tashkent City" team won the international KVN tournament

The national team of Uzbekistan "Tashkent City" became the quarterfinalist of the International League of KVN. The team from Uzbekistan took first place at the 1/8 finals of the tournament, which took place on May 13 in the Russian city of Smolensk. Domestic cavalrymen, gaining 51 points, bypassed the teams from Novokuznetsk, Ivanovo, Noyabrsk, Donetsk and the Leningrad region.

To get into the International League, our team took part in the 32nd International Festival of KVN "KiViN-2021", held from 11 to 22 March in the city of Sochi. This year, the festival brought together about 2,000 creative young people - about 300 teams from more than 15 countries. According to the results of the festival, the "Tashkent City" team was included in the number of the best teams selected for television leagues.

Our national team participates in the international arena under the name - "Tashkent City", personifying Uzbekistan and its capital – Tashkent. The main goal of this approach is to increase the recognition of the country and glorify Uzbek humor.

One of the success factors of our team was the support of the AKFA Group holding, which is now its general sponsor.

If we talk about the development of KVN in our country, then it is worth mentioning the Association of the Cheerful and Resourceful of Uzbekistan - QVZ (Huvnoқlar va zukkolar). This organization was established on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in December 2019.

The Association is now preparing for the upcoming QVZ season, which starts in June. At the first qualifying stage, it will be held in the format of a humor festival in five cities of the country – Tashkent, Andijan, Karshi, Samarkand and Nukus. In the festival, 95 teams will compete in wit, who have applied for participation in the season in advance. They will show humorous performances lasting 6 minutes in Uzbek. It is noteworthy that two international teams will participate in this year's tournament – the national team of Turkestan from Kazakhstan and the national team of the city of Osh from Kyrgyzstan. According to the results of the festival, the jury will determine from 20 to 30 best teams to participate in the QVZ quarterfinals, which will be held this fall. New talents can be attracted to the national team of Uzbekistan.

Ahead of the team "Tashkent City" – participation in the 1/4 finals of the International League of KVN. Games are scheduled for September 2021. We wish our guys creative success and victories!
