Sponsoring the championship of Uzbekistan in road running among law enforcement agencies
Tashkent hosted the first stage of the Uzbekistan road race championship on January 10, among the security forces of the republic - the international patriotic race "Men Golib". It was dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, the Triathlon Federation, the "ProRun" running school, as well as the Athletics Federation and the general sponsor – the AKFA Group, held the first stage of the road racing championship among the security forces of the country in the capital.
Teams of representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergencies, the State Security Service, the State Customs Committee and the State Security Service of the President tested their strength in running. Each team consisted of 30 people, and a total of 210 soldiers took part in the first stage. They had to cover a distance of 10 km in 70 minutes. The starting - finishing area is located at the Peoples' Friendship Palace.
The CEO of the AKFA Group, Kamran Gulamov told why the Holding pays attention to sponsoring and supporting sports events:
– The AKFA Group launched its own strategy on the topic of social responsibility, within the framework of which a large-scale project to popularize a healthy lifestyle was launched. We support a number of sporting events, including acting as the title partner of the first championship of Uzbekistan in road running of the security forces of the republic. I am glad that today a healthy lifestyle is becoming fashionable among young people, the number of young men and women interested in sports is growing rapidly.
The Men Golib patriotic race is another way to introduce the population of our country to regular sports. At the championship, we saw in what excellent shape the employees of the security forces of Uzbekistan are and this motivates all of us to train even more, achieve success not only at work, but also in sports, become stronger, faster and more enduring.
In addition to the military, 90 invited participants took part in the first stage of the championship outside the competition program - these are members of four running clubs and communities of the country, veterans of the armed forces and, of course, employees of the AKFA Group. The company's specialists were able to easily overcome the distance in the allotted time.
Among the teams of military personnel, the third place went to the State Security Service, the second place was taken by the National Guard. The most impressive result was shown by the Ministry of Defense, whose representative came to the finish line first. The winners and prize-winners were presented with gifts from the AKFA Group.
According to the plans of the organizers of the race, in May 2021, military men from other countries will be invited to the 2nd stage of the championship. They will cover the distance outside the competition program. In addition, the possibility of making registration for the championship open to everyone is being considered.
