Scholarship – a grant program for students from the AKFA Group
Big business all over the world is starting to play an increasing role in education. The experience of developed countries shows that investment in education is necessary. They allow solving important social problems and the issue of staff shortages, which is acute in many countries.
For AKFA Group, supporting education is an important part of the company's global mission. The holding implements many activities in this direction, from equipping universities with modern equipment and giving lectures to students, ending with grant programs that enable young people to study and work at the same time.
The Scholarship grant program is one of the most significant social projects of the AKFA Group. For three years, the holding has been selecting talented students from various universities, for whom it fully pays the tuition fees at a higher educational institution and hires them part-time in the company.
In 2019-2020, 13 students received grants from the AKFA Group. And in June 2021, the company gladly accepted 16 more talented boys and girls into family.
On this occasion, in the office of the holding, a meeting of students who passed the Scholarship was held with the general director of AKFA Group Kamran Gulamov and top managers.
–During the interview, many of you said that you want to work in the RnD department. But I assure you that in any department we have a creative and original approach. And I want to note that we are not building a company, we are building a family. In AKFA Group, everyone supports and respects each other. We give each employee the opportunity to unleash their potential. Therefore, let constant development be the main criterion of success for you. Always try and learn new things,– said Kamran Gulamov.
This year, AKFA Group received a record number of applications for the entire period of the existence of the Scholarship grant program. The grant holders wanted to be 250 students from 5 universities – Webster University in Tashkent, Inha, Amity University, Yeoju Technical Institute and Turin Polytechnic University.
All students have gone through a rigorous selection process in five stages. First, each potential grant holder had to fill out an online application form and write a letter of motivation. Further, the employees of the AKFA Group Corporate University conducted on-site tests in mathematics and logic for those whose applications seemed the most interesting to them.
Everyone who passed the tests was invited to an initial interview with the staff of the Corporate University. Those who successfully passed the primary interview were sent to the secondary interview with the head of the administrative block Sobirzhon Bilolov and specialists in the areas. And at the final stage, students were expected to have an interview with the general director of the holding Kamran Gulamov.
Therefore, today's students who have entered the work and internship at AKFA Group, upon graduation from the university, have great chances of becoming qualified specialists. Taking into account the fact that the company covers the costs of education in higher education institutions, families of students save a significant amount of money that can be spent, for example, on additional education. In turn, the company, attracting young personnel, develops its own HR brand and brings up specialists in demand in the labor market.
AKFA Group intends to continue to contribute to the development of education in Uzbekistan. In addition to Scholarship, the company has established another scholarship program – AKFA FutureStep. 3rd year students in finance, engineering and IT technologies can participate in it.
